E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION. SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, deletion, and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to receive information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this purpose, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of such verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have filed an objection pursuant to Article 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may only be processed – with the exception of their storage – with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Cookies

Our Internet pages use so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain third-party services (e.g. cookies to process payment services).

Cookies have different functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions desired by you (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the storage of the cookies concerned takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately within the scope of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request consent.

Cookie consent with Borlabs Cookie

Our website uses the cookie consent technology of Borlabs Cookie to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser and to document them in compliance with data protection regulations. When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the withdrawal of these consents are stored. This data will not be passed on to the provider of Borlabs cookies.

The collected data will be stored until you ask us to delete it or delete the Borlabs cookie itself or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on the data processing of Borlabs cookies can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/

The Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR.

  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data takes place based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. For important changes, such as the scope of the offer or technically necessary changes, we use the e-mail address provided during registration to inform you in this way.

The processing of the data entered during registration takes place for the purpose of carrying out the user relationship established by the registration and, if necessary, for the initiation of further contracts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

5. Social Media

Social-Media-Plugins with Shariff

This website uses plugins from social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, XING, LinkedIn, Tumblr).

You can usually recognize the plugins by the respective social media logos. To ensure data protection on this website, we only use these plugins together with the so-called „Shariff“ solution. This application prevents the plugins integrated on this website from transmitting data to the respective provider the first time you enter the page.

Only when you activate the respective plugin by clicking on the corresponding button, a direct connection to the provider’s server is established (consent). As soon as you activate the plugin, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are logged in to your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign the visit to this website to your user account.

The activation of the plugin constitutes consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

Facebook Plugins (Like & Share-Button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook are integrated on this website. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Facebook, however, the collected data will also be transferred to the USA and other third countries.

You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the „Like“ button on this website. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE.

When you visit this website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook „Like“ button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of this website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. Further information can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to this website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

The Facebook plugins are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility in social media. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

This allows Instagram to associate the visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.

The data is stored and analysed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility in social media. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information can be found in Instagram’s privacy policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

6. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and origin of the user. This data may be summarized by Google in a profile that is assigned to the respective user or his device.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

More information on the handling of user data by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order Processing

We have concluded a contract processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographics in Google Analytics

This website uses the „demographic features“ function of Google Analytics to be able to display suitable advertisements within the Google advertising network to website visitors. This allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section „Objection to data collection“.

Google Analytics E-Commerce-Tracking

This website uses the „E-Commerce Tracking“ function of Google Analytics. With the help of e-commerce tracking, the website operator can analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors to improve its online marketing campaigns. Information such as the orders placed, average order values, shipping costs and the time from the view to the purchase of a product are recorded. This data may be aggregated by Google under a transaction ID associated with the respective user or their device.

Storage Duration

Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. User ID) or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymized or deleted after 14 months. Details can be found under the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist in order to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Rapidmail

This website uses Rapidmail to send newsletters. Provider is rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg i.Br., Germany.

Rapidmail is a service with which, among other things, the dispatch of newsletters can be organized and analyzed. The data entered by you for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on the servers of Rapidmail in Germany.

More information about the analysis functions of Rapidmail can be found at the following link: https://de.rapidmail.wiki/kategorien/statistiken/.

Legal basis

Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

For more information, please refer to Rapidmail’s data security information at: https://www.rapidmail.de/datensicherheit.

8. Plugins and Tools

YouTube with enhanced privacy

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily exclude the transfer of data to YouTube partners. This is how YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you’re watching a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device after starting a video or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve the user experience and prevent fraud.

If necessary, further data processing operations may be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that this website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google WebFonts is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the uniform representation of the typeface on its website. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found under https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Adobe Fonts

This website uses web fonts from Adobe for the uniform representation of certain fonts. The provider is Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA (Adobe).

When you visit this website, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Adobe in order to be able to display them correctly to your device. Your browser establishes a connection to Adobe’s servers in the USA. As a result, Adobe becomes aware that this website has been accessed via your IP address. According to Adobe, no cookies are stored when the fonts are provided.

The data is stored and analyzed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy findability of the places indicated by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

9. Audio and video conferencing

Data processing

For communication with our customers, we use, among other things, online conference tools. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference via the Internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conferencing tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (e-mail address and/or your telephone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants and other „contextual information“ related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data necessary to handle online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded, or otherwise made available within the tool, it is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, but is not limited to, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemail, photos, and videos uploaded to voicemails, files, whiteboards and other information shared while using the Service.

Please note that we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options are largely based on the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conference tools can be found in the data protection declarations of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal basis

10. Own Services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, post or via online application form). In the following we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes in the context of job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu according to German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to store the data transmitted by you on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). Subsequently, the data will be deleted, and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular for purposes of proof in the event of a legal dispute. If it can be seen that the data will be required after expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to an imminent or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory storage obligations preclude deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, it may be possible to include you in our applicant pool. In the event of admission, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool in order to contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.

Admission to the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). The submission of consent is voluntary and is not related to the ongoing application process. The data subject may revoke his consent at any time.  In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, unless there are legal storage reasons.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
